About Me

Hi, nice to meet you! 🙂

My name is Ingrid, a 28-year-old traveler from the Netherlands & the face behind Wanderistic.

I’ve been drawn to traveling the world since I was younger, and over the past few years it kind of has become my lifestyle. I love discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, tasting local dishes, and meeting new people. The ocean is where I feel most at home, the peaceful sound of waves, the salty hair after a fun snorkeling trip, and I LOVE tropical vibes. You could say I am truly an island girl at heart. 🙂 When I’m not by the ocean, you can find me on a hike or chasing sunsets.

In 2020, Lorenzo (my partner) and I started our own business. After a few changes along the way, we now run a successful online marketing business remotely. Being digital nomads gives us the opportunity to work from anywhere in the world while continuing to explore new destinations and create unforgettable memories. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better work-life balance in my 20’s and I am forever grateful that I get to experience working and discovering the world at the same time.

In 2020, Lorenzo and I started our own business. After a few changes along the way, we now run a successful online marketing business remotely. That decision completely changed our lifestyle.

Once it became clear we were no longer tied to one specific place, we decided to take the leap. We ended our lease, sold all our belongings and started traveling full-time while continuing to grow our business on the road.

I absolutely fell in love with New Zealand, because it feels like everything nature has to offer comes together in one place. The colors of the sky are the bluest I've ever seen, the landscapes are UNREAL (especially in the South), and the scenery was pure magic. The Kiwi's are the coolest people, easy to connect with, and so down to earth.

One of my non-negotiable travel essentials is my shower filter. The water quality can vary a lot from place to place, so much, that without the filter my hair would've been ruined already. It's a small essential that makes a huge difference in keeping my routine consistent & take care of my hair to keep it fresh and healthy.

Packing cubes really are life-savers when traveling with a suitcase. (Probably with a backpack as well ;))They are so simple but always keep my suitcase organized and stress-free!

Another thing I cannot travel without is my e-reader. It lets me carry an entire library without extra weight. Whether I am on a long flight or relaxing by the beach, I can easily switch between stories any time!

My 5-minute journal is a small but meaningful essential that I always bring with me. It helps me slow down and reflect on my experiences, write down what I am grateful for and stay grounded with daily affirmations.

All my pictures are currently taken with the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

The drone shots are taken with the DJI Mini 4 Pro.

For under water pictures & videos I use the GoPro Hero 11 Black.
